How to Take An Effective Mental Health Day

Taking care of your mental health is an ongoing process. A mental health day is just one way to prioritize your self-care. Here are a few tips to help you support your emotional and psychological well-being on a daily basis:
Plan a day for yourself and schedule it: To reduce stress and ensure you have a truly restorative day, commit to disconnect from work-related tasks and responsibilities. Avoid checking emails or taking work related calls (unless absolutely necessary).
Engage in an activity that brings you joy: such as your favorite hobby, reading, taking a bath or spending time in nature.
Practice mindfulness: Engage in a mindfulness practice such as meditation or yoga to help calm your mind, reduce stress and improve your mind and body connection.
Remember this day is just for you. A time you set aside to take care of yourself and enjoy being you.
